I love fabric. During a shopping trip with my Mom and Grandmother at Joann's we stumbled upon some really cute cotton prints that were just begging to be cut up and sewn together as quilts. I was drawn (of course) to the fun and vibrant prints, while my mother picked some more traditional soft palette colors. We didn't go into the store looking for quilt fabric. It just happened. Whoops!

I have plans to play with new techniques and make a few different styles of quilts, all crib sized or smaller. Some with and some without batting inside. There will definitely be a triangle quilt, a new type of square quilt and I have some extra fabric pieces that I may experiment with a random modern pattern

Progress has started on what I am calling the "Florida Girl" Quilt. Mini triangles measuring 6" at the bottom. I plan on adding two more prints to this quilt as well. A neutral and whatever other bright print speaks to me!
There are two quilt shops within a few minutes of my house that I want to visit for the first time. I am excited to see a real quilter's fabric shop! I am hoping all the options won't overload my brain and I can pick out some matching fabrics to complete these two quilts.
